The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) recommends that a level walkway have a (SCOF) of 0.6 or higher, to be considered safe. An inclined walkway or ramp, should have a (SCOF) of 0.8 or higher, to be considered safe.
Should someone slip and fall on your walkway and the (SCOF) of your walkway is found to be less than 0.6, you could be sued for negligence and subject to heavy fines. A Trusty-Step International Laboratory Test will let you know the (SCOF) of your walkway and whether or not an anti-slip treatment is necessary*.
*If the Laboratory Test reveals that the (SCOF) of your walkway is less than 0.6, then you can purchase No. 1001 .Trusty-Step Anti-Slip Floor Treatment and have your personnel treat your floors. Trusty-Step International guarantees that the (SCOF) of your floor, after a treatment, will be 0.6 or higher and will remain that way for a minimum of 4 years.
If you prefer, our sister company NevaSlip, will have their factory technicians treat your floors. In this case, your floors will be guaranteed to have a (SCOF) of 0.6 or higher for a minimum of 8 years.
