Trusty-Step Non-Slip Epoxy Coating is a water-based, two part acrylic epoxy system. It creates a slip-resistant surface, even on wet, oily, or greasy floors. No. 5001, No. 5001-A & No. 5001-B all use the same epoxy. Only the aggregate is different. Eliminate the need for dangerous solvent-based urethane and epoxy coatings and assure a positive coefficient of friction on any recommended surface it is applied to. One gallon (3.79 liters) covers up to 500 sq. ft. (46.5 sq. m.). NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE IN AREAS WITH STANDING WATER.

No. 5001 uses aluminum oxide aggregate. This provides a rough texture, similar to 50 grit sandpaper. Ideal for use in manufacturing and warehouse locations. Two coats are required.

No. 5001-A uses fibre aggregate. This provides a texturized surface for use in pedestrian areas and even for barefoot traffic. Only one coat is required.

No. 5001-B uses silica aggregate. Used in pedestrian areas that require more slip-resistance than No. 5001-A. Two coats are required.

Concrete, terrazzo, tile, brick, wood, metal, etc.

Typical Applications:
Platforms, ramps, walkways, decks, garages, factories, warehouses, store & office entrances, schools, machine shops, marinas, etc.

Coverage:
500 square feet (46.5 square meters) per gallon (3.79 liters). Using two coats: 250 square feet (23.25 square meters) per gallon.

Application Instructions:

1. All surfaces must be completely free of dirt, oils, grease and rust.
   We recommend cleaning the floor with Trusty-Step Deep Cleaner/Degreaser.
2. Pour catalyst into plastic pail containing epoxy base.
3. Stir gently until the catalyst has been thoroughly mixed in. Avoid excessive aeration.
4. Allow compound to stand for 5 minutes.
5. Apply Trusty-Step Non-Slip Coating with short nap roller in thin uniform coats.
6. Spread aggregate evenly over coated area. Allow the initial coat to dry 5 - 7 hours.
7. Apply second coat (recommended). Thoroughly clean used rollers with detergent and clean water.
