Product Information

No. 1222 TRUSTY-STEP NON-SLIP ACRYLIC COATING is a water based, one part acrylic coating with crystal clear, polycarbonate aggregate. It coats, seals and creates a slip-resistant surface. No 1222 assures a positive coefficient of friction on any surface it is applied to, while enhancing the beauty of the treated surface.

For Use On:

Vinyl, Metal, Glass, Tile, Marble, Granite, Terrazzo, Concrete

Colors Available:

Clear, Gray (Custom Colors on Request)

Coverage:

400 square feet (37.2 square meters) per gallon (3.79 liters).

Application Instructions:

  1. All surfaces must be completely free of dirt, oils, grease and rust. We recommend cleaning the floor with No. 4002 Trusty-Step Deep Cleaner/Degreaser.
  2. Do not thin.
  3. Shake or stir before using
  4. Pour entire bottle of No.1222 into paint pail
  5. Add 2 ounces of Super Bond and stir (supplied)
  6. Pour entire bag of aggregate into paint pail. (supplied)
  7. Stir gently with mixing paddle until thoroughly mixed.
  8. Pour 6 ounces (approx) on to floor.
  9. Spread uniformly over floor with No. 9007 Applicator
  10. Add additional 6 ounces No. 1222 as needed and spread until entire floor has been coated.
  11. Allow to dry 12 hours before walking on the floor; 48 hours before subjecting to vehicular traffic
  12. Wait at least 30 days before cleaning with a mild, non-abrasive, liquid detergent We recommend using No. 4002 Trusty-Step Deep/Cleaner Degreaser.

One Year Guarantee:

Trusty-Step International guarantees that No. 1222 Trusty-Step Non-slip Acrylic Floor Coating will raise the Static Coefficient Of Friction on all Vinyl, VCT, Metal, Glass, Marble, Granite, Ceramic, Porcelain and Quarry tiles, Terrazzo and Concrete floors to 0.6, the level recommended by the American.s With Disabilities Act.

Routine cleaning and maintenance with mild, non-abrasive cleaning agents to remove grease, oil or other substances is required. This guarantee shall only provide for the replacement of the defective product if the SCOF becomes less than 0.6.

This Guarantee shall be void if the SCOF of the treated surface falls below 0.6 because of the presence of a foreign substance or if the floor is cleaned with abrasive cleaning agents. It does not cover compensation for injuries or losses due to slip fall accidents or other direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from the failure of any treated surface to retain a SCOF of 0.6, regardless of the legal theory asserted, including negligence and strict liability.

If any Trusty-Step product. is proved defective, the user.s exclusive remedy will be, at Trusty-Step International.s option, to replace the defective product or to refund the purchase price for the defective amount. Except for the replacement or refund remedies, Trusty-Step International is not liable for the direct damages or consequential damages, regardless of the legal theory asserted, including negligence and strict liability.
